Extracurricular Activity Fee Assistance

Sports, physical activities, and other extracurricular programs can provide important emotional support for children with special needs. Texas Children’s Health Plan offers fee assistance for any sports, physical activity, or extracurricular program available in your area, up to $100 per year!

How do I claim my extra benefit?

Sign your child up for an extracurricular activity of your choice, such as a sport, camp, music, or dance. Mail a receipt for the sign-up fees and confirmation of your child’s registration to Texas Children’s Health Plan. Once we confirm your child’s activity, we’ll send you a reimbursement check up to $100!

Must be an active Texas Children’s Health Plan member to receive extra benefit. Allow up to 45 days for delivery of extra benefit.

Who is eligible?

STAR Kids members ages 5 to 21 years.

Is this extra benefit available in my service area?

Available in Harris, Jefferson, and Northeast service areas.
